Biography

Urban Tag practiced music for many years but had to get away from the artistic community for professional reasons. A gap developed little by little and in 2010 the artist turned towards photography that appears as the fastest and simpler way to express himself again. Through this medium, Urban Tag finds similar sensations as music used to procure him, through the rhythm, the harmony of the colors, the repetition, the distortion and the shock of superimpositions.

His creative energy is such he would like to paint or do sculpture, but as he doesn't master these artistic techniques, he uses projections, that appear, for him, as canvases covered with images. At his beginnings, his creations were very figurative, bearer of heavy messages that he called "automatic writing". Thanks to new technologies, he complicated his work by creating more abstract and pictorial images.

The human being has always the main role in his creations, even if it becomes harder to identify. Always realizing figurative projections, the artist also realizes more and more digital paintings that allow him to combine complexity and simplicity, to mistreat the image to make it prettier.
