Biography
Odesola Idowu Isaiah is a visual and multimedia artist living and working in Ibadan, Oyo state of Nigeria. He was born in Ogbomosho South, Oyo State of Nigeria. He completed his primary and secondary school in Lagos and received his B.ED. in Fine and Applied Art from Tai Solarin University of Education in Ogun state Nigeria (2016- 2020) and further completed his Apprenticeship under Obadina Oluwaseyi known as Kings in Lagos.
In 2014 he joined UR4Africa as a student, also among the Publicartnigeria students and currently one of their mentors. Odesola Idowu I. creates primarily in oil and acrylic paint, Textile design, performance art and some other parts of Art.
He is the pioneer of the Harmonizm painting style and also painted in realism and some other painting styles. He focuses more on Portraiture because he believes people wear masks to cover their innermost feelings and their current situations and also illustrate it in the forms of paintings. His work looks at questions around identity, how we remember individually and collectively and how art can aid in processes of healing and connection.
