Biography

In 1995, after graduating from the Ecole Boulle, Lalou Kraffe started painting and exhibiting raw and graphically very spontaneous works in which she wanted to free herself from the technical rigour she had acquired.

In 2003, she met the man who was to become her husband, set up her studio in Brittany and returned to her deepest nature: precise and careful work.

She is carried by the notion of Total Art and the state of mind of the artistic movements of the end of the 19th century, including the Wiener Werkstätte, where women artists finally found their place.

"In poetry, I paint the everyday life of women and play on the duality between the strength of the gaze and the fragility of our skins. With my taste for fabrics, patterns and drapery, I wrap my subjects.

Gently, Lalou Kraffe has a woman's perpective and painting, on women.
