Anne Patay

Anne Patay studied at the Beaux Arts in Rennes.

She works in oil or acrylic, always on canvas and stretcher. She also uses many additional tools, collages, graphic tools (oil pastels, pencils, oil bars), or processes (cutter, sandpaper, sander) which allow her to find the previous layers, even the grain of the raw canvas.

His work is often related to childhood, relationships with nature, animal life. There are returning objects, shapes, and above all a perception of space, a distorted perspective, that she seeks. She enjoys observing the world above, like Italo Calvino's hero. She has exhibited since 2004 and is present in more than 400 private collections. Anne Patay lives in Toulouse and works in the Lot.
