Convergences is based on the artist's new series of paintings. In addition, Mathilde Denize cut out some of her works and woven them to create new shapes, which she placed on the surface of the painting exclusively for this edition. Mathilde Denize's work is born from a desire to make meaning emerge from a fragmented present. A collector of discarded objects, she often cuts up her old paintings to reweave them using found materials. Through subtle gestures, Denize constitutes a set of forgotten and anonymous forms, witnesses of contemporary archeology.
