Jean Starck

Born in: 1948

Jean Starck, born in 1948, is a French artist.

With the help of his art, Jean Stack fights against the idea of an official art and following academic models. Wanting to represent the counterculture, he joined the group Art Cloche, an alternative and marginal cultural group, where he was a key figure.

Rebellious and nonconformist, the artist seeks an artistic language that could help him express his deep reality. Living several years within a community of squatters artists, his paintings depict this atypical life. Many of his works bring the viewer in this anarchist ambiance.
