Biography
Valérie Cabaret is a French painter, born in Nancy in 1971. Initially an English teacher, but several of her encounters encouraged her to devote herself to painting. A self-taught artist, she has perfected her style through the years, and at times takes life sculpture lessons, in Françoise Monnier's studio. Klimt, Van Dongen, Tamara de Lempicka, Mucha & Poiret are great sources of inspiration for the artist, but also Art Nouveau. Valérie Cabaret mainly focuses on women and wants to depict them in every single state. This theme is also an excuse for the artist to explore advanced acrylic, collage, gold lead, walnut stain techniques...Her main desire is to create harmony through colors and therefore oscillates between gentle and sensual women, childish women, but also tormented souls.
