Presentation
Born in Istanbul in 1963, Cigdem started out in sculpture in 1992 at Irfan Korkmazlar's studio.
She took ceramics lessons with Ms. Prof. Sakine Çil at the University of Bogaziçi and, subsequently, practiced carved woodwork with Prof. Ziyatin Nuriev from the University of Marmara.
Since 2000, she continues her sculpture work in her personal workshop.
Cigdem makes his sculptures on different materials such as bronze, glass, copper leaf, and wood. His sculptures are mainly related to human forms.
