Vinh Khoa (pseudonym Vink) was born on December 24, 1950, in Danang, Vietnam. His primary and secondary studies were at Blaise Pascal high school until 1968. He then studied journalism at the Buddhist University of Saigon for a year.

Then, at the end of 1969, he left for Liège, Belgium, where he spent almost a year as a free medical student. After that, he continued by studying for five years at the University of Liège, where he obtained a license and an aggregation in educational sciences. Between 1975 and 1978, he attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Liège, illustration section; didactic drawings for the faculty of educational sciences.

There he meets Claudine who will become his wife and collaborator under the pseudonym Cine; they will have a son, Roland, who is a computer graphics designer. At the end of 1979, he produced his first 4 boards on the tales and legends of Vietnam for the newspaper Tintin. In 1980, for the millennium of Liège, he drew a historical comic strip, Pays de liège; on a screenplay by Michel Dusart.

This comic will not be published until 1984. Vink finishes, in 1982, the 9 Tales and Legends of Vietnam for the newspaper Tintin and begins the project of the series Le Moine Fou for Charlie Mensuel in 1984. Complete artist, Vink has entirely directed this series of 10 volumes, written in 15 years, and published by Dargaud editions. In 1989, he worked on the graphic novel Une luciole dans la ville, then on the adventure series Les Voyages de He Pao, of which 5 volumes appeared between 2000 and 2010, still with Dargaud.

He also wrote the fantastic series Le Passager between 2003 and 2004. Vink also collaborates with many authors, such as Jacques Rochel for example.
