Born in: 1966

Hannaka is a French artist, born in Monaco in 1966 to a French mother and an Italian-Croatian father. In 1983, passionate about art, Hannaka joined the villa Thiole, an art school in Nice, to prepare for the entrance exam for ENSBA in Paris. She joined ENSBA Paris in 1986,and worked in the workshop of Jean Michel Alberola. In 1992 she graduated from ENSBA in the field of painting with honors from the jury. In 1993 Hannaka left for Berlin as part of an exchange program and began a series of installations in the German capital that she staged and photographed. Back in France, she exhibited her work done in Berlin, at Paris CROUS under the leadership of ENSBA. Hannaka moved to Paris and worked on her paintings and installations. During this period, photo took up an important place in her artistic creation. She participated in many group exhibitions: La jeune peinture de Paris, Le salon de Montrouge. In 2008, it was during a trip to New York that photography became a must. In 2009, Hannaka showed her work on New York during a personal exhibition in Paris. A photo of NYC triggered the rest of her creative work: "La Marche", a surprising image of men and women passing by in front of a corrugated iron garage; in this carefully orchestrated backdrop, Hannaka photographed unpredictable movements of these people which then created a composition, that only a camera can capture. New developing series follow along and refine this concept even further: Cluster, Molien, Jardin des Tuileries, and recently Fight. In 2012, Hannaka worked with the Christian Depardieu gallery in Nice and Rigassi Gallery in Bern. In 2014, she participated in Fotofever with galerie Depardieu.
