    Immersio Series:

Since a stay in Morocco in 2014, Texidor has been working on the Immersio series.
Started at number 0 in 2014, we are now at number 268.

The works are an invitation to investigate where we come from, who we are and where we are going. The same image, a human silhouette, is time and again immersed in a different environment. (Immersio). All Immersios follow the same pattern. A human silhouette emerges from the center of the work. However, this person is not on, but placed in the work and is actually surrounded by his environment.

The artist does not draw the figure, he only keeps the figure, the figure was already there, it is about what surrounds the figure. This makes the person. His environment determines how he looks at life.
This process from time to time, the same structure for a new work, is a spiritual process for the artist, in which he constantly adds new works to the series by examining material.

The "standard" size of a work is 42 x 30 cm, but the size of 168 x 120 cm is also used in the series.

Texidor's work has been exhibited extensively in many public spaces and in museums. Recently a large Immersio was unveiled in Argentina, the "Immersión Telúrica (229)" is the winner of the International Sculpture Competition "Anchipurac esCultura", from the government of San Juan, Argentina (AR).

Oriol Texidor

Spain Born in: 1974
Born in 1974, Oriol Texidor Martinez is a Spanish multidisciplinary artist.

Oriol Texidor studied architecture at the Technical School of Architecture of Valles, in Sant Cugart and at the Technical University of Catalonia. Strongly influenced by Antoni Tapies' work, he gradually became interested in art and its history. In 2001, he participated in the discovery of some of the most important European galleries during a trip of 15 months. On his return, he moved to a small village in the Pyrenees, where he lived during two years completely isolated. During that time he was able to assimilate and meditate about all the information and the images brought back from his trips and developed a new artistic reflection. He started to paint and to create his first series of paintings in 2002.

Oriol Texidor seeks to adapt his technique and his medium to the subject that he wants to represent. In order to reach this objective, he got trained in engraving, digital printing, photography, sculpture and video autodidactically. He creates his pieces combining different techniques.

Through his work, Oriol Texidor seeks to understand the evolution of the human condition in order to increase his spirituality.

In 2007, he came back to his architectural practice and created a workshop called "Plastic Architecture", specializing in the creation of architectural artistic projects.
