Simone Picciotto

Born in Cairo into an Italian family, Simone Picciotto lived in Belgium, Italy, and France. She obtained a first Prize for Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels and attended the workshops of Fernand Leger then that of Jean Deyrolles. By staging both brimming with creativity and dreams, Simone Picciotto offers us a wonderful world full of poetry. She assembles different materials, often used, in a work where the colors and shapes, such as her faces superimposed and painted from different angles, are astonishingly beautiful.
