Sensitive Elements
Nef Show
“…They come from elsewhere. Or from tomorrow.
Sensory beings. Silent watchers. Living mythologies…”
In this exhibition, Nef invites you to immerse yourself in a world where imagination transcends reality.
“Sensitive Elements” unveils a surreal universe with a series of hybrid portraits exploring the fusion between
humanity, nature, and the cosmos. Portraits neither entirely human nor entirely other, floating between dream and
dystopia. Each painting becomes a mirror of our inner metamorphoses.
These silent figures seem both fragile and eternal, as if they had always existed, somewhere
between our world and another. The mutation here is not a violent transformation, but a gentle, almost
sensory fusion, a porosity. Each face becomes a point of contact: between the inner and outer worlds, between the intimate and the
universal. NEF invents a sensitive cartography of life, a mythology without gods, populated by entities that
feel and watch over.
Let yourself be carried away by canvases vibrant with color and meticulous detail, which question the boundary between
the real and the unreal. An invitation to rethink our connection with the elements, emotions, and the unknown.
Artist's statement:
I don't know if these faces come from the past or the future. I draw them as one listens: I capture something. They
are made of skin, foam, organic forms, mist, and waiting. They are unstable points of equilibrium,
bodies in resonance. What I seek are forms that feel, more than they think. Sensitive elements.
