Biography

Interested in photography primarily as a storytelling medium, it is through cinema that Audrey Viste moves towards practice. From her previous career, she keeps an aesthetic and cinematographic look in her work. Audrey made it a tool for sharing and raising awareness. If photography freezes reality, its gaze shapes it, increases it, fantasizes it. Driven by social photography, she places herself as an intermediary between Man and his environment to tell us their stories.

Its main vectors are Man and his environment.

Always attracted by Culture, she tends to meet everyday artists and artisans to put into images the link that each person has with their history.

The image is thought of as testimony, the notion of reality in photography does not exist, Audrey sees her work as a means of “making the absurd beautiful".

Member of the Collectif DR agency since 2020, its proposed series are at the crossroads of reporting and documentary. In parallel with her reporting and commissioning work, she produces art prints at gallery 411 (Montpellier).
