Olivier Lelong

Olivier Lelong is a photographer from Strasbourg whose practice is well-constructed, with very plastic, sometimes disturbing images, often violent, in which women play with their bodies and their fantasies.

His interest in images, art and communication led him to create an animation studio whose artistic director he is, his sense of staging images has refined, and takes shape through digital arts, integrating various forms such as illustration, painting, photography, graphic and motion design.

He produces regularly all kinds of visual documents, and makes clips for a variety of audiences: galleries, institutions, rock bands, local communities, businesses, educational institutions, beauty, fashion...

In 2007, he started to photograph models, staging cinematic scenes with an aesthetic style that hijacks the codes of the beauty industry and of medical photography. These images are "strong" and destined to an audience that is previously warned. They are often exhibited in galleries or at festivals.

Olivier Lelong is also part of various artistic collectives with whom he takes part in all kinds of projects combining art, video, cabaret, cinema-concert, public readings.
