Aket Kubic, born May 20, 1989 in Grande-Synthe, northern France. He is a French contemporary street artist whose work transcends national borders. Growing up in an artistic environment, Aket made his first encounters with art during adolescence. It was then that he discovered graffiti and signed his blaze "Aket" for the first time, a pseudonym that is a caricatural reference to a peculiarity of his face.
Aket Kubic interprets everyday life, transforming routine and simple ordinary scenes into positive and surprising visions that speak to everyone. His work brings new perspectives to traditional scenes, giving the viewer a fresh outlook on the mundane. Through his creation, Aket defies the codes of cubism, accentuating forms using techniques of urban art. His unique style is immediately recognizable, characterized by an emphasis on geometric objects like cubes and a playful, experimental approach to art.
In 2021, Aket created "Mr Tarin," an iconic and caricatural character representing a stereotypical Frenchman. Mr Tarin, with his red nose symbolizing wine and blue beret, quickly became a signature element of Aket's art. In 2023, Aket embarked on the series "Fights," a comprehensive and timeless subject exploring the stories and relationships that unite people. His work in this series continues to showcase his distinctive style and narrative ability.
Aket's growing prominence in the art world was solidified when he was selected by Coca-Cola for their global MASTERPIECE campaign, confirming his status as a reference in artistic circles.
