Biography
Born in 1969, Kymia lives and works in Haute-Savoie.
After the Applied Arts in Lyon and the Fine Arts in Annecy, she cut her teeth with the sculptor H. Tonguet for 12 years. Subsequently, Kymia trained in boilermaking techniques and learned to weld aluminium.
Kymia is a baroque, fragile and rebellious artist. She found in aluminum material for her soul.
At the beginning, nothing is decided and nothing freezes. Guided by metal, seeking her own exaltation in fire and forge, she creates works suspended between real and unreal, between signifier and emotion.
Since 1988, his works have been present in many galleries and museums, in particular the Faure Museum. To sculpt for this artist is to breathe.
