Biography
She graduated from the School of Applied Arts and became a graphic designer, a profession she exercised for fifteen years.
In her artistic creation Françoise Luciani experiments using the sharp edge of her knife on paper, she likes to explore all the possibilities of cutting and notching, and plays with the effects of different materials.
Françoise Luciani's pieces reveal a whole preparatory work which allows her to define the places where she needs to cut, but the artist has the luxury of spontaneity as well, which she uses whenever she feels it necessary. She creates abstracts, colorful and geometric cutouts.
Françoise Luciani's approach is not only mathematical but specially geometric, she is not only searching for a symmetric appearance. Her public is incited to appreciate her pieces from different perspectives, since each angle of her pieces are different.
