The work is an original painting, it is a hand made oil on canvas. This series of paintings is the result of over 15 years of live study of landscapes. Painting in the air, mounting the easel and the canvas directly on the chosen place, I tried to capture the effects of light that I had in front of my eyes. Open countryside, cliffs, mountains, beaches, I have been my studio for many years, and there I learned to quickly and instinctively capture an impression of light. In the studio I tried to make a synthesis of what I have observed, and to reduce colors to essential shapes. Ready to Hang: Yes. Signature Location: low right.

Artist Statement:
My figurative and abstract work are a synthesis of thousand of hours spent in the elements, studying light variations.
I spent more than a decade studying and practicing “en plein air" painting, working with my canvas and oil colors in the middle of an empty wheat field, or in front of the sea, rainy or sunny day.
I followed a rigorous training based on a classic atelier-like approach: drawing, color and light study, and deep knowledge of materials.
My art is represented by established galleries in Italy, and are found in private collection in Europe, USA, Cina, Qatar.
Education:
Private workshop with Marc Dalessio and Nathan Sowa.
Years of copying old Masters.
