Biography

Meg Dutton lives and works in London.

She studied painting at Chelsea School of Art in the early 1970s and became involved with etching and printmaking some years later.

She was elected to membership of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers in 2001 and served as their Vice President for four years.

She regularly exhibits her work at the Bankside Gallery and is part of the Triangle Gallery group of exhibiting artists.

A fascination with pattern and detail in the natural and man made world form the basis of the drawings, paintings and etchings she produces. She has a particular love of Moorish architecture. She uses watercolour on some of her etchings and often makes collages from collections of drawings and photographs taken from different sources to construct the images for her printing plates.
