Maja

Born in Clermont-Ferrand.

Lives and works in Madrid.

Alongside her studies in Spanish language and literature, which were strongly influenced by image analysis, and then her teaching work, Maja began training in photography at evening classes offered by the city of Clermont-Ferrand and then at the Beaux-Arts workshops in Paris. It was during a stay in Madrid in 2017 that she discovered the expressive possibilities offered by collage.

Her interest since childhood in children's albums and in images in general led her almost naturally to organize her work according to small-format dreamlike narrative compositions, influenced by the world of stories and anatomy.

If gleaning objects and papers of all kinds is one of his favorite passions, it is above all the basis of his work which gives a second life to engravings, photos, and miscellaneous objects found at flea markets or in the street.
