Kim Han is exhibited until May 19, 2024, and has been exhibited since November 16, 2023 by the MMCA in the major exhibition “Geometric abstraction in Korean art”.
The 16-page MMCA exhibition catalog features 김한 화집 Kim Han on page 12, with his oil on canvas, “Kim Han, Interior 10, 1968, Oil on canvas, 148×148cm, MMCA Collection”, Show Catalog of 2023-2024 “Geometric abstraction in Korean art”.
MMCA Collection includes as well, Kim HAN 1975 quadriptych with four 121 cm x 121 cm paintings, and an oil on canvas 162 x 131 cm, dated 1967.

Geometric Abstraction from South Korea was particularly developed in the Post-War Paris School (1945-1999) when Artists from South Korea traveled to Paris from the 70s to the 90s to exhibit their works of art, more particularly in galleries on the Left Bank in order to make them known at an international level, whether in the art galleries of Raymond Duncan, Lia Grambihler, Tabacoff Scrive Art Studio, Galerie Art et Communication, but also during major international exhibitions organized by Ministers of Culture, including Lecat at the end of the 1970s.
The Paris Arts Olympiads of 1991 and 1992 also made it possible to present the excellence of South Korean art for several months with a large artistic delegation. This international event under the Presidency of President François Mitterrand, the Mayor of Paris Jacques Chirac, Juan Antonio Samaranch, President of the International Olympic Committee, Nelson Paillou President of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee was organized for the CNOSF by Lise Cormery Cormery.
The Paris Arts Olympiads were preceded in Paris in 1990 and 1991 with Les Jeux de l'Avenir de Paris organized by Lise Cormery Gallery for the CNOSF with the exhibition of the internationally renowned artist of kinetic and optical art, Asdrubal Colmenarez, from Venezuela.
The Paris Arts Olympiads of 1991 and 1992 followed the Seoul Arts Olympiads of 1988 where Seoul created for this occasion a painting museum and a museum of monumental outdoor sculptures, the SOMA Seoul Olympic Museum of Art, where one can still admire a monumental sculpture by Moon SHIN, who represented South Korea and Asdrubal Colmenarez, among all the invited artists, who came from all over the world to exhibit and represent 20th century art. This happy initiative thus made it possible to reconnect on a large scale with the ancestral tradition of the Olympic Games of yesteryear Greece where the artistic competitions were parallel to the sporting games, this in accordance with the wishes of Pierre de Coubertin, its initiator in the 20th century.

“김한 화집 KIM HAN was born in 1938 in South Korea.
Kim HAN is a Total Artist, both brains working deeply in order to master his Art. Successful thanks to his logical left brain, he obtains his diploma in Business Administration of Kyongnam University, Masan in 1964, then he decides to perfect as well his right brain, devoted to creation and emotion, and in 1967, obtains his Fine Art diploma, mastering Painting, in Seoul Beaux Arts, Paintings Department, College of Fine Art, Hong Li University, Seoul.
김한 화집 KIM HAN becomes the Master of free hand drawing as well as ink on oriental paper, and oil painting on canvas by hard working, repeating and repeating his art, until he is mastering the technical difficulties of free hand drawing by concentration and meditation, by means of hand and eye coordination, without use of any tools like rulers, etc. Thus, KIM HAN reaches the perfection like ancient Oriental Masters or Western Renaissance Masters did. Like them, his only treasure and tools are his hands and his brain, his universe is geometrical abstraction until reaching a Zen spirit.
김한 화집 KIM HAN is mastering the art of pure line, letting run his imagination and concentration and reaches the subtle line perfection by his very personal artistic genius.
