Zabiholah Mohamadi

Zabiholah Mohamadi was born seventy-nine years ago in Malashir, a village in Lorestan. His father was one of the village elders, and he sent his son to a mullah to be taught the Quran and the Iranian national epic Shah Nameh. Today, it is more than half a century that Zabiholah has the Shah Nameh in his heart, and this immense book has had a lot of influence on his way of speaking and his manner.

The rhythms of Shah Nameh influenced the poems he composed on human subjects. It is always thanks to this book that he depicts in his drawings the stories he has heard from the Quran and the prophets, but he does not know what prompts him to draw or even if someone appreciates his drawings or not. . Although his hands don't let him do much work, he holds paper and pens, his preferred means, so tightly that it's meant to be a fearless child's drawing. Due to his old age, he changed the sickle with the colorful pens and the farm with the corner of the house. And now he spends most of his time reading.

He is a narrator and illustrator who has his own free compositions and drawings with a personal script. As a storyteller, he has no choice but to present a lot of detail and characters. It should also show ornamental objects and patterns of clothing.

The outsider aspect of Zabiholah Mohamadi's art is somehow linked to the tradition of folk art.
