Monique Cruickshanks

Eric Odartey Cruickshank, professionally known as "lines being", is a versatile and self-taught artist born in Accra, Ghana in 2000. He aims to preserve and project black identity through the use of lines in his works of art.

His works revolve around documenting the growth of social, cultural and political affiliations. Using line, he sees something distinctive in it, whether it is thick, straight, wavy curve, spiral or even weak and broken. He paints in oil, acrylic, and uses charcoal. His recent research has focused on reptiles and their moults.

Eric Odartey Cruickshank is in the Nh19 Walls Ballynahinch collections, The Ditaucollection South Africa. He exhibited at the FAAT Gallery.
