Born in 1945 in Montréal (Canada), Mourlevat is a painter, draftsman and engraver. He studied at the School of Arts and Crafts of Montreal and then at the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence during his stay for his post-diploma in Europe. During the 70s, he moved to New York to work in a famous advertising agency in Brooklyn. His work is easily recognizable by its lyrical, discreet, semi-abstract and harmonious fiber. He has a studio in the Mile End neighborhood in Montréal, where he works regularly.
