Milan House

Presentation

Born at the dawn of the Czech Republic, Milan graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Praha. He has since won various awards, including the Pollock-Krasner Foundation (2005) with the acquisition of his Art by the National Gallery of Prague. His works now enrich private collections in the United States, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France and the Czech Republic. Without palette or paintbrush, Milan combines resin with cleverly selected pigments, and pours his medium directly onto canvas. Movement is essential; as the resin flows slowly across the surface the pools of color clash and intertwine. Then they may re-form, evoking images of lava.

Excellent technician and colorist, Milan's 'pools' echo the subtle yet bright pigments, delivering the purity of each. Taking advantage of the unpredictability of this process, his colors find form somewhere between spreading and fusion. From one single medium and one sole technique Milan explores infinite possibilities and infinite outcomes; each piece at the mercy of chance and the improbabilities of nature. Universal and sustainable, Milan's talent holds considerable value; his acquisitions in galleries and salons fuel the market value of his work and ensure a promising future.
