Gaston Barret

Gaston-Charles Barret (born May 9, 1912 in Nanterre and died September 1, 1991 in ) was a French engraver , watercolorist and illustrator .

He has illustrated around fifty works:

• The Great Meaulnes by Alain-Fournier
• Invasion 14 , by Maxence Van Der Meersch , Published by du Livre, Monte-Carlo, 1948.
• Z. Marcas and The False Mistress by Honoré de Balzac
• Raboliot in 1954 and Maurice Genevoix 's Fishing Box in 1957.
• Leo Tolstoy , The Kreutzer Sonata and Conjugal Happiness , 2 volumes, 16 original drypoints per volume by Gaston Barret, translation by Véra Volmane revised by Henri Colas, André Vial editions, Paris, 1952.
