Gilles Ghersi is a real star in Korea where he is nicknamed “the new Chagall”.
Gilles Ghersi is a real man. He lives with happiness and passion in painting, which has become the “emotional support of his life”.
His works are both happy and funny. And his characters, “his imaginary friends”, as he fondly calls them, sometimes tend towards the childish by their quirky side. But make no mistake about it, behind always hides a story, against a background of environment and human condition , which we can interpret as we wish.
Gilles Ghersi coats the oil paint on medium plates or on art paper. The tones he uses are soft and his undertones are intense.
His style is unique. Each works translate a story.
