Mariem Zahra Chaouch

Franco-Tunisian multidisciplinary artist born in Monastir, Tunisia on December 6, 1986.

She holds a doctorate in Science and Technology of Plastic Arts, awarded in Tunisia having her equivalency in France. She lives and works in Paris. His career is particularly rich in varied experiences.

She taught at the Mahdia Higher Institute of Arts and Crafts in parallel with her thesis work and was at the same time a columnist on the official radio station of Monastir in Tunisia.

She was the founder of the Institute's Artistic Days where she was a professor; she organized several events with the engraver Karima BEN SAAD, director of the Fortress Art and Engraving Space, as head of communication, translation and international relations.

With Karima BEN SAAD, she exhibited as a duo in 2014 around the theme of women; each of the two artists deals with this issue in a different and plastically opposite way. Mariem has participated in several group exhibitions of painting and photography on an international scale (Tunisia, Paris, Morocco, Algeria, Alicante, ...). She won the public jury prize for the Sawwarni competition in Mahdia as well as the grand prize at the Salon Arbustes in Mantes La Jolie, France. His work was exhibited at the Paris Autumn Salon on the Champs Elysees.

She was selected by a committee of professionals to participate in the second Biennale of Mediterranean Contemporary Art and the first contemporary drawing fair in Oran (Algeria), a project with students from the University of Artistic and Industrial Design in Linz, Austria, and an art project with Italian photographers.
