Australia was a revelation for me. In 2000, I went to a harvest campaign in Victoria at Pfeiffer wines. The contact with this other land, the detachment with France, these men of the bush, all this brought down all my artificial programming and restarted my aboriginal programming of the world.
It was in 2013 that I decided to paint like the Australian Aborigines, following a divorce from music, because I had lived with it for too long and never understood it. The stencil brush well in hand, plunging into the color, three quarter turns in circles on the canvas, I began another adventure that reminded me of the work of champagne bottle turners, three quarter turns every day to bring down the fermentation deposit in the neck. I was saved, I felt myself growing wings, flying over lakes, cliffs, towns, rivers.
