Greg in the Jungle

Greg in the Jungle is a French painter, born in Paris in 1982.

He opens his eyes in a house populated by the creations of his mother who has painted since childhood.

He moved very young to Nogent le Rotrou, the capital of Perche where he took drawing and perspective lessons after school in the local drawing club.

On weekends, his art-loving parents and grandparents introduce him to the capital's museums, where he discovers artists who fascinate him: Muccha, Klimt, Bruegel, Modigliani, Rembrandt, de La Tour ...

He then studied under the trained eye of comic book illustrator Bruno Rocco. From the age of 14, he took classical sculpture lessons with Prem Vadi, at the orangery of the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Chartres.

Although he is passionate about drawing and sculpture, he must agree to follow a scientific course in high school. However, he returned to visual expression from his baccalaureate in his pocket by integrating the Touraine Brassart school of graphics.

After 3 years of studies and obtaining his diploma, he began his career as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. He worked for prestigious Parisian advertising agencies for 3 years then set up his own agency in Tours at the age of 24. Also passionate about cinema and moving images, 3 years later he developed the film production company Six Pieds sur Terre, making his debut with Samuel Bodin and Alexandre Philip.

He discovered large-format expression in 2018 and developed a very personal pictorial technique. In these times when the wilderness seems abused, Greg in the jungle tries in his own way to put the fabulous creatures that inhabit it on a pedestal through imposing and colorful portraits.
