Yoann Bac

Yoann Bac was born in 1998 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye and has just completed his degree in graphic design at the École Duperré.

It was while observing the work of eminently contemporary artists that the idea of multitude appeared to the artist: painters, sculptors, video artists, designers? Or all at once?  

He felt the need to confront this audiovisual perspective as Camille Henrot, Cyprien Gaillard or Clément Cogitore had done in their work.

The intention of producing a multi-media work therefore naturally appeared to him. It is a question of bringing together video, painting and graphics, of making them correspond to each other so as to ultimately achieve a common resonance. What is striking about Yoann Bac's production is that he reinvests the monument that is painting through other realities, such as the accuracy of graphics and the imaginative extravagance of video: a new artistic dimension that breaks the traditional aesthetic framework. Precisely because there are no words yet to describe this sensation of novelty pushed to the limit, he will express it with his brushes.

The point of collision and innovation between these three techniques creates a new reality, a pure art that reads like a new sensory experience.  

It is no longer enough to contemplate a painting, but to let oneself be rocked by the waves of the sea, which have never been so blue, never so supple. A simple accuracy for an ideal art.
