Deok Hyu Choi (1922-1998) signing CHOI was born in South Korea, leader of the political resistance against Japanese invasion, after war he is the pioneer of neo-naturalist and fauvism movement inspired by western art. He is painting Seoul urban and natural landscapes with forests and mountains. In 2011 Seoul Modern Art Museum shows his tribute. The artist belongs to the South Korean Selection of Art Olympiads organized by Lise Cormery Gallery for the French Olympic Commitee in 1991 and 1992 in Paris.  It was following the famous 1988 Art Olympiads in Seoul with its sculpture and painting museums created for the event in order to invite and show the art of major international artists of the century.
