Biography
Kai Samuels-Davis is a painter, born in 1980 in New York, USA.
He studied at the Woodstock Art school at the age of 16 and then headed towards the Art Students League in New York. In 2002, he obtained his Bachelors in Fine Arts at the University of New-York. He finished his training at the Art Center College of Design in 2006.
He created many portraits, depicting destructed figures and showed them in sequences, in several loops. Through this procedure, the artist is able to create a distance between his subject and himself.
Kai Samuel-Davis works on orders, and evolves his work depending on the models who themselves evolve.
