Austin Chen

Born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1997, Austin Chen is a self-taught digital artist of Taiwanese origin currently based in Seattle, Washington.

His "Take a Daydream" project started as a passion for capturing beautiful moments and visually documenting the places he traveled to. His artwork taps into the inner workings of his mind to invoke feelings of childhood wonder, euphoria, and nostalgia. Through the use of vibrant color palettes and psychedelic imagery, he transforms his own photos into hyperrealistic dreamscapes that materialize his perception of the world.

His unique vision & artistic style reflects his lived experiences in both the United States and Asia and is heavily influenced by mother nature, urban design, and music.
