Description
Jacques de Potier (1925-2006). Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong are in Paris. The first (left) composed the music for the film "Paris Blues", by Martin Ritt, and for "Turcaret", edited by Jean Vilar. The second gave two recitals at the Palais des sports. They both live in the peaceful Hôtel de la Trémoille. Their Parisian friends from the Blue Note and the Mars Club came to jam outside their windows. The two American artists, out to listen to them on the balcony overhanging the entrance of the hotel, greet the crowd which begins to gather. December 1961. Print delivered in a passe-partout wallet and 40x50 celluloid glassine pocket.
