Description
This striking artwork features two graceful flamingos in full flight, captured in a style that is both graphic and poetic.
The birds' sharp black outlines contrast vividly with the watercolor background, a swirl of pink and red hues evoking a sky at dawn or dusk. Their delicately outstretched wings suggest fluid, free-flowing movement, while their dynamic pose accentuates a sense of impending journey.
Below, a minimalist mountain landscape subtly reflects the light of the rising and setting sun, enriching the image with visual depth. The distinct combination of diverse techniques—precise lines and diffused ink—gives this work a modern and expressive feel.

Presentation
Louis Besnier is a painter and illustrator, born in Paris in 1991. He discovered drawing at a very young age, through tales, illustrated stories by Claude Ponti and comics such as Thorgal and “Where is Charlie?". After studying Geography at the Sorbonne and then Design & Plastic Art, he joined the Maison des Artistes in 2017 and created his first collections.
After a trip to Chile and his design studies, Louis Besnier embarked on his first passions: drawing and illustration through the mass and stacking of shapes and textures. He created mini worlds, with specific themes or simply resulting from dreams.
He works primarily in acrylic and pen (a legacy of design and architecture). The supports vary, from canvas to reclaimed and recycled materials; any medium becomes a playground for free expression.
He transcribes dreamlike landscapes through the imagination, mixed with real architecture and references. Everything transforms little by little, giving way to a surreal world where several elements are hidden.
In 2024, he exhibited for the first time at the Gustave studio, but it was in October 2025 that he had his own solo exhibition at the Hôtel Marceau Bastille, an exhibition called “Balades Nocturnes", which retraces his travels through imaginary landscapes.
