Nikou

Nikou fragments, assembles, glues and reconstructs. His composition proliferates and goes beyond the boundaries of the visible, leaving only a few clues in a dominant abstraction. Her collages are impastos of material, fabrics, worked and sewn papers. She appreciates the greys and delicate colours of El Greco, the black of Franz Kline, and the simple lines of her childhood drawings. Her painting is intuitive. She navigates in an imaginary universe, chaotic, sometimes brutal, full of meaning.
