Project “Inside"
In this project, I address the topic of self-knowledge through the lens of neurophenomenology, viewing
consciousness as a fluid process that emerges at the intersection of bodily experience, memory, and
subjective interpretation of reality and subjective interpretation of reality. It is important for me to explore the concept of cognitive plasticity and visualize the inner world of the human being as a space of infinite possibilities. I graduated from medical university and the Institute of Oriental Medicine. In my artistic research, I combine my professional knowledge of neurobiology, neuroaesthetics. and color psychology to reveal how visual perception enhances the viewer's emotional response.
In the project I apply the principles of neuroaesthetics: contrast helps to emphasize key objects, and the principle of isolation focuses the viewer's attention, freeing the perception from unnecessary visual noise.
The minimalism of the visual language reinforces these effects, creating clarity and depth of perception. I use silhouette forms as universal archetypes, devoid of individual features. Color solution of the project refers to the origins of life: water as a symbol of birth and abundance. In working with the visual series, I rely on the aesthetics of computer graphics and photography.
The images are imbued with the effects of digital perception: some shapes, such as silhouettes of palms, are deliberately distorted and lose clarity and lose definition, reminiscent of the bokeh effect.
These visual techniques form a soft, meditative space in which the boundaries between the real and the imaginary dissolve.

Anastasia Ovsyannikova is an artist and physician working at the intersection of traditional and digital media, including painting, graphics, and objects. The foundation of her artistic practice is a neurophenomenological approach, incorporating the principles of neurophysiology, neuroaesthetics, and quantum interactions.
She views the interaction between the artistic visual image and consciousness as a fluid, mutable process that arises at the intersection of bodily experience, memory, and the subjective interpretation of reality. This direction seeks to return to the viewer an awareness of their own nature as a creator, reminding them of the profound connection between art and personal transformation.
Possessing encyclopedic knowledge in the fields of medicine, psychology, and metaphysics, and Academic of International Academy IAMAQ-Italy, Ovsyannikova has developed her own artistic language, termed "missionary sign graphics."
She began her exhibition activity in 2022, participating in international exhibitions in Switzerland, Luxembourg, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, China, the USA, and also in Russia, where she repeatedly won prizes. That same year, she held a solo exhibition at the New Tretyakov Gallery and participated in and won the Russian Art Prize and the Golden Time Talent international competition.
From 2023 to 2025, her works were featured at platforms such as Volta Basel, Aqua Art Miami, Art Wynwood Miami, Art Russia, Artexpo New York, World Art Dubai, Art Ankara, Art of Monaco, as well as in NFT projects in Moscow and at the Urban Culture Fest.
In 2025, Anastasia received the Art Innovation Award in Los Angeles.
Her works and ideas are regularly published in Russian and international professional publications, solidifying her status as one of the prominent representatives of contemporary metamodernist thought.
