Philippe Huline, known as Filips, is a multi-talented artist who shines in comics, music and painting. Marked by the explosion of nightclubs at the end of the 1970s and in love with music since childhood, he became a DJ under the pseudonym of Doctor H. He was then fascinated by the power of music which liberates and transcends people. body.

He worked in parallel for Rock & Folk from 1984 to 1992, drawing the tribulations of Moses Viders in an apocalyptic New York. All the comics that he will then produce tell musical stories, bringing back James Brown or the greatest rockers of his time, in a universe still marked by the sound that surrounds him, whether punk, rock or blues.

He also works as an illustrator for various magazines but also for artists such as MC Solaar for whom he makes the cover of his acronym “Bouge de là”.

Today he devotes himself to painting and drawing, producing works full of colors. Music, particularly African-American, is omnipresent in his work and is his main source of inspiration. There are also nods to the art of Andy Warhol. The same characters from pop culture - such Mickey or Marilyn Monroe - are scattered in his works, sometimes taking up the codes of Warhol's famous screen prints.
