Cacou is a self-taught and passionate painter. Since her childhood, she felt the need to paint, whether in the walls of her room or on a canvas.
In love with the ancient times, the materials, colors and shapes, Cacou draws her inspiration from the glorious 30 as well as from her own times. Woman plays a main role in her work. Modern and retro, sparkling and uninhibited at the same time, she adds dynamism and humor to her canvases. Fragments of advertisings, scandalous newspapers, intertwined words on colorful backgrounds.... Cacou never ceases playing with the observer, dragging him into her universe, obliging him to consider her paintings as puzzles where a message has to be dechipered.
Her paintings are a link between a bygone era where everything was pink, and a present with more modern appareances.
Cacou uses different techniques and supports. Acrylics, oil paint, collages, clay, stones, pearls, wood, or paper are all elements that make up the artist's colorful artistic universe.
Cacou has exhibited her work in Paris and Bordeaux.
