Philippe Pélissier

Biography

Philippe Pélissier is a French artist born in 1947 who lives and works in Paris, France. He was figure skating coach and former competitor. He won six medals at the French Figure Skating Championships. He competed at the 1964 Winter Olympics, placing 23rd, and at the 1968 Winter Olympics, placing 13th. He has constantly nurtured a passionate bond with painting, an art for which he has had an irresistible attraction since childhood. Today, stylistic maturity asserting itself with the necessary humility that it presupposes, he alternates long periods of work in the studio with short sequences of personal exhibitions. He has been exhibiting for almost 40 years in France and abroad.
