Claude Carvin

Biography

Born in Marseille in 1956, Claude Carvin settled in the Ardèche region in 1992, a land of crystal-clear rivers that he never tires of painting in pastels. After studying art at the Beaux-Arts in Aix-en-Provence, he worked various jobs to earn a living. Following his move to the Ardèche, inspired by the landscapes, he began exhibiting locally. After working in oils, he discovered pastels and acrylics. This technique transformed his working method; this direct and intuitive medium allows him greater intimacy with his subject, especially during plein air painting sessions. His encounter with the "Pastellistes de France" (Pastellists of France) opened doors to international exhibitions and brought him recognition. Alongside this, he works daily with acrylics, and his works are featured in numerous collections in Europe and around the world. Claude Carvin has been a professional painter since 2006, is a "Master Pastel Artist," and is listed on the Drouot art market.

Several articles have been devoted to him in art magazines (Pratique des arts, Plaisir de Peindre, The Pastel Journal USA)

Education: 1972 to 1975 at the School of Fine Arts in Aix-en-Provence (13)

It is listed at 1,600 euros on AKOUN, for a 15P format
