Visionary image-maker Tomaas creates surreal yet lifelike images of fashion and beauty with painterly quality. Her avant-garde style is vibrant, dramatic and subtle. Tomaas' work illustrates a unique photographic experience where the subject, atmosphere and environment merge into a single narrative that reveals its own story. Alchemist behind the lens, Tomaas transforms ordinary objects into timeless and iconic works of art. Born in Hamburg, Germany, Tomaas has lived in New York for 18 years and is now based in Paris. Her images have been and continue to be featured in a growing number of international publications such as Vogue Italia, W Magazine, VS, Marie Claire, Schoen, etc. His work has also been exhibited in several New York galleries. In 2017 he was invited to the Venice Biennale and participated in a group exhibition with David LaChapelle and Liu Bolin at the "Art District Gallery" - Le Royal Monceau Raffles in Paris.
