Bronze Sculpture for Sale
Ada Loumani is a French glass artist born in 1959, from a family of glassmakers whose heritage he perpetuates in a contemporary practice of artistic glassblowing. Based in Valbonne, near Nice, he has been developing a body of work for several decades in which glass becomes a medium for encapsulated painting, at the crossroads of fine craftsmanship and contemporary creation.
A self-taught artist, he specializes in the Graal technique, a complex process combining hot and cold working. This method allows him to create works in which true images and compositions are encased within the glass itself, playing on depth, transparency, and colored light, giving his pieces a unique pictorial and sculptural dimension.
His work has garnered international recognition, with exhibitions in the United States, Belgium, Algeria, Russia, Germany, and France, as well as in prestigious venues such as Harrods in London. Since 2007, he has been awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) label, which recognizes excellence in French craftsmanship.
A report by Franceinfo Culture (2019) highlights his unique artistic approach of encasing actual images within blown glass, underscoring the almost alchemical dimension of his work and his ability to transform matter into narrative space.
As a whole, Ada Loumani's work explores the memory of images, glass, and light, making him a major figure in contemporary international glass art.
