Biography
Born in 1959, Italian-born Tobia Ravà has been painting since he began his career in 1979. In his early adulthood, he attended the International School of Graphics in Venice and Urbino. He obtained a degree in Semiology of Arts at Bologna University, disciple of Umberto Eco, Renato Barilli, Omar Calabrese e Flavio Caroli. His work is deeply symbolic, relying on Hebrew iconography and semiologist meaning. He currently works in Venice and Mirano, Italy.
