Badriot

Badriot is Adrian Lupu's artist signature.

Born in Bucharest, he studied Philosophy and began working for big advertising agencies at the age of 26. Three years later, he met Geta Bratescu - a worldwide fine art figure at the time - and she encouraged him to pursue a career in fine arts. He began studying with Vania Mendanha at her studio after he moved to Luxembourg with his wife in 2011. This lasted two years. Then he started gathering his annual works in a collection, many of which you can find here on Artsper. He is inspired by Degas and Klimt, both perfectionists in their drawings.

His style is a mixture of classic academic drawing with a touch of his own playful manner and immaterial grace.

At this point, he also paints and is a regular participant in Luxembourg Art Prize, from which he received an honorable mention in 2021.
