Teresa Riba

Teresa Riba is a Spanish sculptor born in 1962.

She graduated from the University of Fine Arts in Barcelona in 1985 when she decided to specialize in sculpture.

Today Teresa Riba teaches sculpture and drawing at the Municipal School of Art of Gaspar Campos in Igualada, and history of art at Academy Feli where she is also a member of the jury for various projects.

Teresa Riba creates figurative sculpture with a great sense of touch which makes the public participate physically and intellectually. She often represents children and teenagers who have very different personalities and evolve in different places.

Each detail is important for Teresa Riba, in order to convey her vision of the world, these details often come from fleeting moments of her daily life, she captures them and preserves them through her sculptures.
