Memento

Born in Provence in 1990 and raised in a family of musicians and artists, Jessica Barras alias "Memento", let her passion for photography express itself in 2015.

Her practice of photography took place outside of any academic framework. At first, photography presented itself to her as a hobby, then as a passion that quickly became omnipresent. Memento taught herself the technical aspects of the profession, but she was also lucky enough to cross paths with photographers, both amateur and professional, all of whom were passionate about their work, and with whom she forged human and artistic relationships that helped to mature her own practice.

Now a rising figure in Urbex, Memento travels the world in search of unusual places where time seems to have stood still, and through his discoveries, brings back striking shots with a poetry and melancholy that are unique to the artist.

A memory, a tribute, a safeguard of heritage... with all its beauty and history.
