Artist Statement:

Hazel's unique style of painting, is classical and contemporary, her scenes are realistic, and full of atmosphere. As she paints in layers with pallet knife and brush her work is textured and detailed.
Multi award winner Hazel Thomson, has been working on landscapes of Cheshire and surrounding areas over the past few years.
As Artist in Residence for the Wirral country park, she has access to live on Hilbre Island over the Spring of 2016.
Also with the help of the Cheshire wild life trust has had access to some of the wonderful projects they have been working on around Delamere forest,
She has gained a true understanding of nature over the last five years and this reflects in her paintings . She has also been recently placed, twice, in the American Art Awards , 2017, first for the category "Worlds Best Artists of Landscape Impressionism, and second for the category "Worlds Best Artists of Realism Landscape, in which, both have separate features in the Huffington post. You can also see her work in The Artist and Illustrators,on line magazine for editor choice for the feature in the Autumn Gallery , 2017, over the past two years she has also picked up three 1st place, peoples choice awards, and three 2nd place, peoples choice awards, from separate open exhibitions.
Allso as one of the finalist of solo art series , on the Light Space and Time ,on line gallery , She will be showcased on the on line home page, from the 1st of Febuary to the 14th of Febuary 2019.
